Students in a business major can apply for the Business Living and Learning Community. The focus of the program is to guide new business majors on the right track to a successful business career.

In this community you can live in a residence hall with other freshman majors from the College of Business. Freshmen in this learning community will all be enrolled in the College of Business Freshman Seminar and other courses that fulfill requirements for your Business major.

Activities include:

* seminars with local business leaders

* career advisement sessions

* trips to local businesses

* trips to larger business centers such as New York City

Students are encouraged to participate in relevant business student organizations. Freshmen in all business tracks are welcome. However, this community will be especially helpful to students who are enrolled in Business but not yet sure what track is best for them. Apply early since there are limited spaces available.

FUN FACT:
Over 50% of our students already bring laptop computers to campus. All of our academic buildings have wireless access and you have network access in all of the residence halls and on-campus apartments.

While you will not be using laptops in all of your classes, there are some courses where it is appropriate, especially in several accounting, business, and mathematics courses that you will take for your major.
