Social Justice Living Learning Community

Mission:
As a member of the Social Justice Living and Learning Community, you’ll interact closely with faculty and other students to examine contemporary social issues within both local and global communities.  You’ll take classes addressing issues of diversity related to race, class, and gender and explore the fallacies and constraints of such social categories. You’ll leave the program with greater self-awareness and better trained to act as a life-long advocate of social justice.

You’ll feel like you’re attending your own, private, small college within the university. You’ll live with a select group of students – all of whom share your interest in diversity – on one floor of Northumberland Hall.

You’ll work with a live-in faculty member who will act as your mentor and who will take a strong interest in your personal and academic progress.

You’ll meet in relaxed and informal settings with additional faculty members committed to ensuring your success.

You’ll even receive scheduling priority in some required courses.
